The 1st ever CEO sleep out in South Africa taken on by The Business Centre’s very own Travers.

We are very excited to announce that Travers Hathrill will be taking part in the CEO SleepOut to be held on the 18th of June, which is said to be the coldest day of the year.

This event is the 1st ever to be held in South Africa. The cheeky challenge where CEO’s are put on the spot all started in 2006, where leaders experience a night on the street to challenge their thought process while reflecting on the crisis of the homeless with the important component helping people find jobs.

At The Business Centre, we believe that charity starts at home and this initiative definitely speaks to all of our community initiatives and we welcome the challenge to engage business for the force of good.

#YouthDevelopment #JoinMe #AfricaRise #MakeADifference #TBCcares

We want to lead by example and challenge all of you to raise double the funds and join the conversation while making a difference and ultimately showing “we care” and can make a difference while creating social awareness.

It is quite simple to get involved. Just add R5 to your cup of warm coffee or your lunch at any Business Centre to show your commitment to a better future for our homeless youth. Should you wish to add something extra you can do so by contacting hr@thebusinesscentre.co.za

We caught up with Travers to ask him about his involvement in the global movement looking beyond profits to purpose. He has over 20 years of experience in the Service Industry, working continually to understand what clients need.

As an operator, Travers loves working with people that “give it a go”, and he is passionate about learning new skill sets that benefit both himself and the business. He is fanatical about asking the right questions and understanding what it takes to get the job done.

Why did you decide to take on the challenge?

I thought it was another fantastic opportunity to do something different and get involved. It’s great to commit to something, bring multiple people together and give it a go!

Why this initiative for The Business Centre?

Because the Business Centre cares for the community and is involved in various charities, this is just another great cause to add to our commitment and this initiative fits into our values as a business showing all clients, suppliers and staff that we care and choose to make a difference. That’s is why we have challenged everyone to join us.

Join Travers and The Business Centre in making a difference, keep up to date on @travershathrill and @needoffices. Travers has his own support page

Rise to the challenge and join us to show that we care.

The TBCG Team wishes Travers a wonderful night under the stars. Give it a go!
