Adelene Raman, the Operations Director of The Business Centre, gave us a few minutes to discuss the role The Business Centre plays in charity drives in conjunction with Acts of Love:
What has The Business Centre actively done to organise drives? What other initiatives have The Business Centre been involved in?
We support many organizations, from collecting food for abandoned pets to helping provide blankets for the elderly in winter. We also recently teamed up with a client to collect soft toys for the Phoenix burn unit in Cape Town, but we sponsor Acts of Love on a regular basis, as they have many different projects through the years that cover many different areas of needs. We actively volunteer consistently to this specific organisation.
How can The Business Centre clients or the public get involved?
They are welcome to visit the Acts of Love website or contact me and I will connect them.
What successful drives have Acts of Love done in the past?
Mobile medical clinics, blanket drives, edu-care, adopt a child, Old Age Home visits and many more.
When was Acts of Love founded? Where are they based?
Please check the website, based in Midrand
How long has The Business Centre been involved with this charity?
The Business Centre has been involved with Acts of Love for the past 3 years.
The latest project The Business Centre and Acts of Love are embarking in, is a mobile medical clinic that will be based in Diepsloot. This drive is aimed at those who can’t afford medical care. They will be provided with a warm meal, activities and care for the children, whilst the parents see the Doctors.
- Dental care
All of these medi-care facilities are sponsored by various individuals and companies.
The next project will be a blanket drive, where Acts of Love strives to give out adequate amounts of:
- Warm meals
The Business Centre representatives will be there to support these initiatives.
Together with Acts of Love, we at The Business Centre strive to change the world, one person at a time.
